Dancing on the Grave of Free Speech

Shame on the cowards responsible.
This is news we thought we’d never have to put out in Australia; but you, we and Geert Wilders are being denied a venue to meet and speak in Perth. Notice of cancellation of the booked and fully paid venue was given to us Friday evening at 9pm WA time.

A paid contract is being broken by the manager of reputable four star hotel, scared by the possibility of anti-democratic fringe groups holding a protest outside. We have been working hard on possible alternatives over the weekend, but given required size and lead time for security arrangements required to hold such an event, no suitable venue was available in the shortness of time. We also tried a number of Christian organisations with suitable venues, but their leaders were afraid to help out.

A school hall was suggested as a last minute option; but neither Mr Wilders nor Q Society will subject children to the likely impact of anti-democratic hate groups holding protests outside their school.

We feel very sorry for all who’ve booked hotels and flights, but this is out of our hands. Our sponsors were prepared to more than double the already generous budget for a suitable venue and extra security, but still to no avail.

The fear of venue managers is just too great. And when fear becomes stronger than civil courage, both the freedom to speak and the freedom to hear are denied. As Voltaire said: “If you want to know out who rules over you, just find out who you are not permitted to criticise”.

We realise anti-democratic hate groups will now be dancing in the streets. But this is not the end of it; and sadly they are blinded and do not realise they are dancing on the grave of free speech. Freedom of speech is an absolute; freedom knows no left or right

Standby also for video of violent leftist thugs trained to wail and shout "don't hurt me" for the cameras as soon as Police move in. Pussies.

Year of the Snake

I do not expect a celebration of Australia Day in any other country, beyond perhaps a BBQ in the courtyard of the local Australian Embassy. Certainly not through the middle of Beijing.

So can someone please tell me why the City of Sydney Council is paying for a Chinese New Year Parade snaking its way through the main street of Sydney? I mean no disrespect to the wonderful Australian Chinese community who I suspect were not even the force behind it. That would go to Clover Moore and the other "City of Villages" ideologues.

The gays have a parade. Now the Chinese do as well. Where is the parade for the rest of us, who'd like to man the Julia Gillard float?

I can guarantee that any suggestion of an all-inclusive "Australia Day Parade" along George Street would be immediately sneered at by our intellectuals as jingoism. What a shame that we are so embarrassed by our own culture.

The City of Sydney organisers on their website thank their partners, including the "Shenzhen Minicipal Bureau of Culture Sports and Toursim

Not sure if the website was made in China. This event does nothing for tourism. I'm pretty sure Chinese don't travel to Australia to witness its Chinese parade.

Blame Righty

Michelle Malkin:
Question: How many times over the past four years have exploitative liberal journalists and Democratic leaders rushed to pin random acts of violence on the tea party, Republicans, Fox News and conservative talk radio?

Answer: Nearly a dozen times, including the 2009 massacre of three Pittsburgh police officers (which lib journos falsely blamed on Fox News, Glenn Beck and the “heated, apocalyptic rhetoric of the anti-Obama forces”); the 2009 suicide insurance scam/murder hoax of Kentucky census worker Bill Sparkman (which New York magazine falsely blamed on Rush Limbaugh, “conservative media personalities, websites and even members of Congress”); the 2009 Holocaust museum shooting (which MSNBC commentator Joan Walsh blamed on Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly and yours truly); the 2010 Times Square jihad bomb plot (which Mayor Michael Bloomberg falsely blamed on tea party activists protesting Obamacare); and the 2011 Tucson massacre, which liberals continue to blame on former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

Question: What will this rabid Blame Righty mob do now that an alleged triple-murderer has singled out prominent lefties in the media and Hollywood for fawning praise as part of his crazed manifesto advocating cop-killing?

Answer: Evade, deflect, ignore and whitewash.

Of course. But before armchair analysts dissect the 'manifesto' of every sociopath and nutcase, as Mark Steyn wrote, "the media's stampede for meaning in massacre this past week overlooks the obvious: that the central meaning of these acts is that they are without meaning".

Well, unless they can blame it on the Right.

Total Denial

Further to the cowardly decision by some venues to cancel bookings for Geert Wilders' speaking tour, a letter to the Sydney Morning Herald
The last-minute cancellation of the venue booked to host Geert Wilders is a timely warning to Australia. We all know about the hateful preaching in mosques where political Islam is disseminated and yet a Dutch parliamentarian, who speaks peacefully to warn Westerners about this, is denied a place to speak. Wilders points out the danger of sharia to our secular, liberal democracies. Where is the ''hate-mongering'' in this?
 Gabrielle Lord Randwick
This resulted in immediate denial of reality.
Would Gabrielle Lord (Letters, February 8) please give details of ''the hateful teaching in mosques'' that ''we all know about''? Where and when, and what was said?
Diddy FitzGerald Windsor
Today, he gets a simple answer.
In response to Diddy FitzGerald's question (Letters, February 9-10) as to where, when, and what was said, might I offer: Lakemba mosque, 2006, and women being compared to uncovered meat deserving of any rape that comes their way. Hateful enough?
Michael McIntosh Little Bay
Only one example? From 6 years ago? Well that hardly proves anything!

Psy Ops

Via Antony Loewenstein, his Hamas-lovin' friends offer possibly one of the most pathetic propaganda efforts in decades. Ladies and gentlemen, Gangnam Gaza Style.

Keep an eye out for the cash machine with big tits.

I liked the sign on the ass's arse saying "no fuel" right after a scene showing a Palestinian riding his fuel-powered motorbike along the beach and cars driving everywhere. You know, just like in Auschwitz. Poor dears.

Elsewhere in Gaza, a typically peaceful Palestinian protest against the electrical company.

Can't tell right from wrong, good from evil...

The Sydney Morning Herald yesterday reported on the shooting murder of a former US Navy Seal sniper.
He became proficient at his job, racking up more than 150 kills and becoming the scourge of Iraqi insurgents, who put a price on his head and reportedly nicknamed him the "Devil of Ramadi." He preferred to think of his job not as killing bad guys, but saving the good.
"I feel pretty good because I am not just killing someone, I am also saving people," he said in a Jan. 2012 interview with The Dallas Morning News. "What keeps me up at night is not the people that I have killed. It is the people I wasn't able to save."
Today, the SMH printed a letter which amounts to glee that he's dead and equates him with Jihadis.

By the sword

America's "top sniper" shot dead (''America's deadliest sniper' shot dead'', smh.com.au, February 4)? I can't think of a more fitting way for a man who murdered 150 people from places of hiding without giving them a chance to protest their innocence, surrender or fight back. It is the most contemptible of all military occupations. Along with drone pilots.
Gordon Drennan Burton (SA)
Murdered? Would that be like the Navy SEALs who "murdered" Osama Bin Laden as well? Before he even had a chance to shoot them in the face. Cowards!

Witness the blind moral equivalence of leftists who can't distinguish good from evil, right from wrong.

My Readership Question

Antony Loewenstein is thrilled to announce:
My first book, My Israel Question, was released in 2006. Nearly seven years after becoming a best-seller, I’m proud to announce that one of the Middle East’s leading publishers, All Prints, has just released an updated Arabic edition.
The Arab world has some of the world's highest levels of illiteracy. Antony has found his niche.

As for 'leading publishers', well...
Greece annually translates five times more books from English than the entire Arab world...Spain translates more books from English to its language than the entire Arab world has in 1000 years—one thousand years.

SMH Downfall

Via Tim Blair. the Sydney Morning Herald reports:
Remarks comparing the federal government to the Nazi party are offensive and hurtful, new federal Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus says. Coalition frontbencher Christopher Pyne on Sunday said the federal government was unravelling like Hitler’s government in the movie Downfall
The Downfall parody videos were so offensive and hurtful the Sydney Morning Herald thought fito to show them on its own website. Here's 'Downfall' with Kevin Rudd (Hat Tip - SMH). Also in the Canberra Times.

Mark Dreyfus, is absolutely correct that comparisons to Hitler are offensive and hurtful. The throwing around of the term, e.g. 'grammar Nazis', 'lane nazis' (at the local swimming pool) and so forth are devaluing the significance of the Holocaust and what the Nazis represented. Then again, he doesn't know his memes.

Bye Britain, It's been grand...

First, parts of London which resembled cities in the Middle East.

Then, gangs of Muslim thugs calling themselves the "Muslim Patrol" and declaring parts of London as "Muslim only zones" and removing (stealing) alcohol from those who passed.

And now this.
A young woman has been left severely scarred and partially blind after acid was thrown in her face in a seeming random late-night attack.

Naomi Oni, 20, was on her way home from work to her home in Dagenham, East London, on 30 December when an anonymous attacker, wearing a niqab, threw the corrosive liquid at her, leaving her with serious burns on her head, neck, arms, legs and body.
She has now released the shocking images above to the Evening Standard in a hope that they may help track her attacker, whose face was obscured by the traditional Muslim women's dress, which completely covers the face apart from the eyes.
Some predictions:

1) There will be no discussion about Islam. No, that would be raaaacist.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said acid attacks were “extremely rare” and that detectives were keeping an “open mind as to the motive.”
2) Muslims will go into total denial about this, insisting it's either a 'minority' (about whom the majority do nothing whatsoever) or that it's even a conspiracy. I mean the person dressed in a 'niqab' could have really been a BNP member right?
