Lefties stingy

PP Boyz Jeremy Sear and Dave Gaukroger appeal for help with the audio component of their Crikey rubbish:
Unfortunately we aren’t able to offer you anything beyond recognition and the love of our listeners, as the podcast doesn’t generate any revenue at the moment ...
Note how the plea neatly separates the podcast from the rest of the PP Boyz' Crikey work, for which both are paid – by a for-profit media company run by a millionaire. Yet the Boyz want some sucker to just donate time and expertise for exactly nothing.

The podcast may not generate revenue, but Pure Poison sure does. Perhaps Jeremy and Dave don't want to share. No wonder they didn't open comments on that post.

Update Multi-media phenomenon Antony Loewenstein – journalist, blogger, photographer, documentary-maker and best-selling journalistbegs for cash:
Finally, and I should be saying this more often, any financial assistance you can provide will be much appreciated. The donation button is at the bottom of the website. If you like my work and analysis. If you want to support the importance of independent media. If you like the thought that in the next year I’ll be visiting some fascinating and unique places in Australia and overseas for original reporting.
So, if you want to help finance the Ant's travels and his prodigious output of near gibberish no-one reads, be sure to donate.

Update II [Dan]: If Antony's career as an 'independent journalist' doesn't pay the rent, he can always fall back on a promising career as a comedian. After Chris Berg made a comment about socialism, here is Antony Loewenstein tweeting him:
You love national socialism, right? @chrisberg
Chris Berg:
Huh?
Loewenstein:
@chrisberg t'was a joke...
Get it? Loewenstein called Berg a Nazi. Hilarious! Real thigh-slapping stuff.

Even the hackiest Jewish comedian would instead be asking how a guy with a surname like "Berg" could possibly have a first name like Chris. Loewenstein is no Jerry Seinfeld...

The only joke is that Loewenstein appears regularly in the ABC and Fairfax media. Perhaps Chris Berg, a columnist for both the Sunday Age and the ABC Drum might care to discuss this with his management and get back to us.

Antony:

"my work is being shared, re-tweeted and re-blogged in an increasing number of places in Australia and globally."

And do you think JF and I get ANY thanks?

Well, HuffPo got sold for a fortune after mooching off the stupidity of Lefties.

Why shouldn't our own slightly less masculine Arianna wannabes try to get rich doing the same?

I think he's referring to sites and blogs that people actually read, Lieutenant Dan.

It is bewildering how you wingnuts with merde for brains can think that calling someone the name of a movie character is "racist". Actually perhaps it isn't so bewildering - you're obviously a cretin*.

* Not a racist term.

No. What is bewildering is that:

a) You will make sweeping generalisations about an entire political viewpoint, based on a single comment with which you disagree. Can you imagine me forming views about a whole section of society based on your stupidity? Heaven help them...

b) You are incapable of following simple instructions. Here they area again. I'll type them slowly as you seem only to be able to read at a third-grade level. Ready? Here we go: "If you must be anonymous, rather than choosing "anonymous" from the options below, please choose "Name/URL" and enter a pseudonym instead. It is less confusing as people know how to address you when they call you an idiot." For extra points, you can stop being an anonymous coward altogether, but I'm not holding my breath.

c) I don't think you saying "Lt. Dan" is racist. I do think however it is lame, unfunny and stupid. Probably names you were called a lot during school.

a) You do it on a daily basis, so get off your intellectual high horse.

b) As I think I said earlier, this is Beck's blog and from what I can tell, you are only a guest sycophant to whom he has lent the keys. I have never observed Beck demand anonymous commenters use a nick before. When the blog header changes to 'JF Beck... with Lieutenant Dan' then I might consider your request more seriously.

c) 'Foxy' was alleging that 'Daniel-san' is racist, not 'Lieutenant Dan'. 'Lieutenant Dan' was an angry sneering character with no legs to stand on, who makes friends with a simpleton. I think the reference is more fitting than it is funny.

Gary Sinise and his Lieutenant Dan Band rocked Camp Lejeune last weekend. Don't reckon the Marines there, nor the Wounded Warrior Foundation for whom he has also done benefits, share your sentiments.

Dear sdog,

Lieutenant Dan, first and foremost, was a movie character. That's right - a movie character.

Just relax now. Take your depressant. There there, it'll be alright soon.
