Something Something, Alarmed.

Tim Blair reports on Climate Alarmist Tim Flannery's refusal to disclose the seeeecret location of his new waterfront property.
While his place was, he admitted, “very close to the water”, the issue was how far it was above the water – something Professor Flannery would not reveal because, he said, it could help identify the location and subject him to a Norway-style attack by conservatives.
A person who is genuinely afraid of being killed would usually not have a web page listing their forthcoming appearances. They would probably also ask others to be a bit more discrete about their appearance.

People who are genuinely in fear of their lives seldom make a big deal about it. Those who carry on about it are usually just fools who want a bit of PR.

The exact location of his taxpayer-funded coast house was posted on another blog.

He should stick to plastic dinosaurs and science fiction. Pay's not as good but on the other hand at least he wouldn't be in the way of the grownups.

what a slimy and attention seeking wanker to even mention himself and the Norway idiot as if to infer people who disagree with him are all neolithic potential mass murderers.

this guy is a grease ball of epic proportions. When I see him playing the earnest sensitive eco warrior on TV I need to take a shower and scrub

I don't care for Flannery as an AGW advocate, but I would note that the report does not contain a direct quote from him when it raises a "Norway style attack", and would therefore suggest that anyone should be very, very cautious about accepting this is exactly what he said.

Quite true, Steve; the use of the phrase 'he said' is an example of obvious misdirection.

Cheers
