Traffic blocker booked

After years of holding up traffic, road-hog Jeremy Sear has finally been busted, by an "idiot", of course.

I am in awe of your ability to link the twitter with the Blair item from long ago

The link to the tweet has a few extra characters in it, JF. Try:

And as for Anon, in what world is it strange for people to be able to remember stuff they read just 4 or 5 years ago in connection with something they might see today? If a feat like that has you "in awe", maybe it's time to lay off the controlled substances.

Now his problem will be finding expert legal advice?

Jeremy is such an idiot.

A serial road blocker, who also has a history of fare evading on public transport (complains about the fine) and getting into trouble at interstate airport parking lots (complains by posting the attendants personal details) who then gets upset ("idiot") for being booked when illegally blocking the fast lane.

He has a history. These examples have all been online, mostly by him.

Worst of all, he then tries to use the lame excuse of ... should I have gone faster than the speed limit to overtake?

You're either overtaking in the right lane, or you're not going fast enough to overtake and therefore should revert back to the left lane.

Can't really have it both ways.

P.S. Learn to obey the laws that the rest of us quite easily obey.

Now that's funny.

I wonder if Jezza will post a photo of the booking officer on his blog and give him a mouthful for upholding the law. It's his style.

For a lawyer, he seems remarkably ignorant of the, well, law.

Or does he just think that the law shouldn't apply to him?

Normally I'd suggest Sear stick to what he is good at but what is he good at?

It's never Jeremy's fault:

As I recall J.S has a history of breaching copyright and of taking companion animals into a National Park too.
Not such a fan of the rules.

Jeremy Sear also needs to realise that speedometers are calibrated so that you appear to be driving faster than you actually are.

Speedometer readings are also affected by other factors such as tyre pressure. Finally, there is always parallax error.

The upshot of this is that Jeremy is probably driving below the speed limit in the right hand lane and holding up a line of traffic that is legitimately wanting to travel at the speed limit.

I HATE the way people just sit in the right lane in this country. It is worse than anywhere else in the Western world.

Of course if the tale as told in the tweet is as it happened, a smart young barrista would have no problem at all defending the charge.
You see there are only two options as I see it here.
Cr. Sear has told a lie in the tweet. He wasn't overtaking and the booking was justified, or Cr Sear has been dealt an unfair blow and he should tell his story under oath and get off.
Twitter is your friend Jezza.
NOT.

I wonder if Smear used the whole "do u know who i am" line when the cop gave him the ticket.

Or maybe Smear saying do u know who i am caused the copper to give him the fine.
