Crikey blogger adopts assumed identity to hassle Andrew Bolt
Crikey blogger Jeremy Sear not only comments here anonymously in support of himself, he also pops up under an assumed name – Jeff of Mulgrave – to hassle Andrew Bolt on the radio.
Compare "Jeff's" comments on the situation in Libya here (at 32:30) to Sear's commentary in the latest Pure Poison podcast to confirm that the voice does indeed belong to Jeremy. Also, "Jeff" makes the same points on air made by Jeremy in writing at his personal blog.
Anonymous commenting and using an assumed identity are underhanded ways for a contributor to a "news" site with mainstream aspirations – Crikey – to attack ideological opponents. What's going on here, Jeremy?

Couldn't have been Sear. Jeff of Mulgrave failed to score a hit on a single point he made. A trained barrister would have eaten Bolt alive.
If Jezza comments here by pretending to be someone else, and if he calls radio stations using the name Jeff, how many other fake ID's is he using?

Why are you so surprised that Jeremy Sear would not use his real name on talkback radio? He has a right to anonymity and to protect his job as a top notch barrister. Why, if he had to say who he is it might harm him. That's why I post as Bridgit Gread, btw. I wouldn't want Fairfax to Fairf*ck me over the things I say and do on the Internet behind their backs.

You seem to have missed the point (surprise). You were not "hassling" Bolt because you used an assumed name. You were hassling Bolt and using an assumed name. The question is, why would you do that given you've been hassling Bolt using your real name for a long time? Why did you not want to declare your real name to Andrew when speaking to him directly? Are you a coward?
