Bigpond email scam

Only minutes ago received this email:

This message is from admin messaging center for all e-mail account
BIGPOND owners.

We are currently upgrading our data base and e-mail account. We are
deleting all unused e-mail account, creating more space for new accounts. To
complete upgrading of your account, you are requested to provide details
below immediately:

Password:

Mobile:

Contact address:

You can also check your e-mail address by logging into your account via
http://bigpond.com/, Failure to provide the above details we shall
deactivate your online Account with us. Make sure you use your valid
information requested above, A confirmation code will be sent to you.

Jeez, the writer of that nonsense makes me look like a master-punctuator. By the way, the from address:

Definitely looks like a genuine Bigpond email.

This email originates from Shanghai Jiaotong University, one of the most prestigious in China. The sender is from the School of Materials Science and Engineering. I suspect his email has been hacked. You should write to him and ask...
