Japan dolphin suicide bid foiled

An interesting theory regarding a dolphin that jumped out of its tank:

It wanted to end it. Why does a person jump out of a building?

When I was a kid I has a goldfish that died after jumping out of its bowl. I just figured the fish was really stupid. Now I feel really bad.
