TAUNTS FRIGHTEN FIGHTING MAN

Terry Hicks blames verbal abuse for Guantanamo detainee son David's weight gain:
"The detainees yell out abuse at him and they say he's being paid by the CIA and all this sort of business to spy on them - that sort of thing," he said.

"So he's under quite a bit of stress through that. He won't go out into the exercise yards because he's been abused verbally from the rest of the detainees, so that's not good.

Such insults from Hicks' jailers would prompt torture allegations; when fellow detainees abuse him, it's "not good".

In reality, Hicks' guilty plea proves his innocence.

As reports in the news today had it, the proof of his guilt came in the courtroom, out of his own mouth, forestalling the presentation (& thus publication for all to see) of the evidence.
