KING HAS SERIOUS PROBLEM

Articulate, the ABC arts blog, whose contributors are always keen to work an anti-Bush angle into its offerings, has this from author Stephen King:
"I have serious problem with the current administration and with the idea that we have an ongoing war on terrorism that's open-ended, and that any time the administration has problems with anybody that opposes their agenda all they have to do is wave that bloody 9-11 shirt and everybody's going to fall back into line."
King should blame al Qaeda, not Bush, for the protracted war we're now engaged in:
Scotland Yard anti-terror chief Peter Clarke has said the belief that the threat posed by al-Qaeda may be over in a decade is "hopelessly optimistic".

Mr Clarke, the Met's deputy assistant commissioner, added that one expert had suggested that al-Qaeda has a 50-year strategy worked out.
This war has been going off and on since the 7th century and is going to get a lot more deadly before it's over.
